DELETE
YOUR ACCOUNT.

You can close your account from the app or from this page. It closes the moment you confirm, and the data is erased within 30 days. For the first 29 days you can sign in again and cancel.

Sign in to start the deletion

We send an eight-digit code to the email address on your account. Once you are in, this page shows what will be erased and asks you to type DELETE.

If you can no longer sign in, write to support@octanedepartment.com from the address on your account and we will start the deletion for you.

In the app

Three steps

Open the Account tab and choose Delete account.
Read what is erased and what stays, then type DELETE.
Enter the sign-in code the app emails you. The code proves it is you, so a phone somebody else is holding cannot do this.

What happens

Erased, kept, and when

At once. The account closes. Every session ends, every device is signed out, and other members can no longer find you.
Within 30 days. We erase your profile, your garage and its photos, your club memberships and applications, the documents you uploaded, your delivery address, your follows, likes and saved threads, your notifications and your device tokens.
Kept. Your Hub posts and replies stay with your name replaced by "Deleted member", so the threads other members replied to still make sense. Messages you sent stay in the other person's inbox under the same label. Payment records are kept for eight years in an anonymised form because tax law requires it. A Black number is retired and never given to anyone else.
Cancelling. Sign in again before the date in your email and cancel from this page, or reply to that email. The account is as it was. Once the erasure has run it cannot be undone.
Store purchases. A pass bought through the App Store or Google Play is billed by the store. Deleting the account does not cancel it, so cancel it in the store as well.
