Yas on a floodlit evening, Mussafah on a weekday, and the Desert Challenge every winter.
Abu Dhabi Chapter covers the capital and the islands. Yas Marina Circuit runs car and bike track days on the 5.281 km layout, and Train Yas on a Tuesday evening puts the circuit out for anyone on foot or on a bicycle, which is the cheapest way there is to learn the corners. Yas Kartzone next door is a kilometre with three layouts and runs into the night.
Mussafah is where the work gets done. The industrial sectors there hold most of the serious workshops in the emirate and the difference between a good one and a bad one is several thousand dirhams.
The Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge has run since 1991 and is now a round of the World Rally-Raid Championship, around 1,300 km over five stages. And at the end of the year the Liwa International Festival takes over Al Dhafra, with the Tal Moreeb hill climb on a 300 m dune at close to 50 degrees.
For any car or motorcycle owner in Abu Dhabi. Open with approval, and an ownership photo so chapter runs are made of real machines.
What happens here: the Yas calendar for car and bike days, Mussafah workshop referrals with invoices, Desert Challenge and Liwa festival planning, route cards south to Liwa and east to Al Ain, summer heat management on cooling, batteries and tyre age, and meet listings across the island and the mainland.
