Hafeet's 21 corners before six, the Rotax circuit at the Raceway, and inland heat with no sea breeze.
Al Ain Chapter is the garden city's club, inland on the Oman border. Jebel Hafeet is the reason most people outside the city know it: about 11.7 km of road with 21 numbered corners, laid properly, and hard on brakes on the way back down. It is worth being on it before six and it is not worth attacking at any hour. Green Mubazzarah sits at the bottom with hot springs and somewhere to eat afterwards.
Al Ain Raceway is the largest karting facility in the region: a 1.6 km international circuit, a 900 m club circuit and a 750 m indy layout, and it has hosted the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals.
The thing locals know and visitors do not is the heat. Al Ain sits inland with no sea breeze at all, so it runs hotter than the coast through the summer and the cooling margin that works in Abu Dhabi does not necessarily work here.
For any car or motorcycle owner in Al Ain. Open with approval, and an ownership photo so chapter runs are made of real machines.
What happens here: route cards and brake advice for the Hafeet climb and descent, the Al Ain Raceway calendar and kart setup threads, workshop referrals in and around the city, summer cooling, fluid and battery threads written for inland heat, route cards across to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and meet listings in the city.
