Automotive Art & Models is the collecting club. Which model makers get the details right at 1:18 and 1:43, opening panels against sealed resin, original lithographed race posters against reprints and how to tell them apart, period brochures, press kits and owner's manuals, signed pieces and the provenance behind them, framing, lighting and UV damage, dust and display cases, and the prices these things actually change hands for rather than the ones they are listed at.
For anyone who collects automotive models, art, literature or memorabilia. Open to all, approval required, no vehicle needed.
What happens here: accuracy reviews of new model releases with photographs, original against reprint identification for posters and prints, brochure and manual sourcing for specific models and years, framing, lighting and storage advice, valuation threads based on completed sales, and collection photographs posted for the pleasure of it.
