Larz Anderson on the lawn, Route 2 and the Mohawk Trail, and a season that runs May to October.
Boston Chapter covers Boston, Cambridge, Worcester and the North and South Shores. Larz Anderson Auto Museum runs Cars and Coffee on monthly Saturdays from May to October, and the cars park on the museum lawn rather than in a car park, which changes the whole feel of it.
Route 2 west and the Mohawk Trail is the drive: long sweeping corners, real elevation, and a fortnight in October when it is the best road in the country. The Kancamagus is two hours north if you want more.
Three circuits are inside a two hour drive. Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut, is 1.53 miles and seven corners and the third oldest continuously operating road course in America. Palmer Motorsport Park opened in 2015 out in Hampden County. Thompson Speedway has an oval and a road course.
The season is May to October and the rest is salt. Everybody here has an opinion about storage and most of them are right.
