The town where the race teams live. zMAX Dragway, the Speedway, and the Parkway two hours west.
Charlotte Chapter covers Charlotte, Concord and the Piedmont. This is the town where American motorsport is actually built: most of the NASCAR Cup teams and a large share of the fabrication, engine and composites businesses that feed them sit within about 50 miles of the city, and a lot of the people in this chapter work in one of them.
Charlotte Motor Speedway and zMAX Dragway are at Concord. The NASCAR Hall of Fame is downtown. The Blue Ridge Parkway starts about two hours west and the Tail of the Dragon is about four.
The practical upside of living here is that the machining, the paint, the wiring and the dyno time you need are all available locally and done to a standard set by people who race for a living.
For any car or motorcycle owner in Charlotte and the Carolinas. Open with approval, and an ownership photo so chapter runs are made of real vehicles.
What happens here: meet listings across the metro, group entries at zMAX Dragway and the Speedway, route cards for the Blue Ridge and the mountain roads west, fabrication, machining and dyno referrals from the race shop world, race weekend hosting and paddock access, and job and apprenticeship threads for members trying to get into the industry.
