Mid-Ohio an hour north, Norwalk for the strip, and a season that ends when the salt goes down.
Columbus Chapter covers Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati and central Ohio. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course at Lexington is about an hour north and carries SCCA Majors, club racing and open track days right through the season. Summit Motorsports Park at Norwalk is the drag strip people drive to, up towards the lake.
The Hocking Hills roads south-east of the city are the closest thing to real driving roads in this part of the state, and they are genuinely good early on a weekend morning.
Ohio tests emissions in the Cleveland area counties and nowhere else, so what is legal here is not automatically legal two hours north. The season runs April to October and the salt decides the rest.
For any car or motorcycle owner in Columbus and central Ohio. Open with approval, and an ownership photo so chapter runs are made of real vehicles.
What happens here: meet listings across Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati, group entries at Mid-Ohio, drag entries at Norwalk, route cards for the Hocking Hills roads, Ohio emissions questions answered by county, winter storage and undercarriage protection, and shop, machining and alignment referrals.
