Grey Imports is for vehicles that arrived the hard way. Auction grading and inspection before you bid, export certificates and de-registration, container against roll-on shipping, customs duty and the compliance work waiting at the other end, headlight beam pattern and rear fog lamp requirements, speedometer and odometer units, emissions testing on an engine never certified locally, parts catalogues written in another language, and finding the one workshop that will take the job.
For any owner of a vehicle imported privately or through a grey-market channel, car or motorcycle, left-hand drive or right. Approval required.
What happens here: importer and shipping agent experiences with costs stated, compliance and inspection checklists by destination, parts sourcing threads with catalogue and part numbers, translation help for service books and warning lights, workshops willing to work on an unfamiliar platform, and pre-purchase advice for auction cars you cannot go and see.
