Houston to Pensacola. NOLA Motorsports Park, hurricane season storage, and a title check before you buy.
Gulf Coast Chapter covers the coast from Houston to the Florida panhandle. Four circuits carry it: MSR Houston at Angleton, Circuit of the Americas inland at Austin, NOLA Motorsports Park at Avondale, and Barber Motorsports Park at Birmingham, which is as good a facility as exists anywhere.
The climate is the shared problem. Humidity and salt air get into discs, brightwork and wiring faster than anywhere else in the country, a trapped cover does more harm than none, and a car standing still through August is a car with a job list.
Hurricane season is June to November and the planning is real: where the car goes, how early you move it, and what your insurer actually covers. Storm damaged cars are retitled and sold on afterwards, often a long way from where they got wet, so a title history and a look under the carpet come before the handshake.
Texas dropped its annual safety inspection for most vehicles at the start of 2025, but emissions testing still applies in the Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth counties, which is exactly the sort of detail that gets someone a failed registration.
For any car or motorcycle owner in the Gulf Coast. Open with approval, and an ownership photo so chapter runs are made of real vehicles.
What happens here: a season calendar across the four circuits with group entries, hurricane season storage and evacuation plans, humidity and corrosion care, flood title and pre-purchase inspection threads, state by state registration and emissions answers, and shop, electrical and paint referrals along the coast.
