The E44 out of Dubai to the Hatta mountains, the dam and the wadi roads. Back before lunch.
The Hatta Run is the standard weekend escape out of Dubai: 130 km on the E44 past Al Badayer, the climb into the Hajar mountains, the dam road, Hatta Hill Park and the wadi tracks behind the town. Cars and motorcycles run the same route and split at the end, tarmac one way and graded track the other. Some tracks past the town run close to the Oman border, so carry ID and do not cross without the right paperwork.
Open to any owner or rider in the Emirates. An ownership photo so the group is made of real machines.
What happens here: run announcements with meeting points and departure times, route cards, fuel and breakfast stops, notes on which tracks need a 4x4 and which do not, cooler-month planning, and introductions to the desert and mountain clubs.
