Old machinery raced, not parked. Period specification, eligibility papers and drum brakes at speed.
Historic Racing is for the machinery that gets used. Eligibility papers and period specification and what a scrutineer will actually accept, safety equipment fitted to a car designed before any of it existed, drum and early disc braking and how differently they fade, period tyres and the pressures they want, spares that have to be made rather than ordered, and the question every owner answers privately about how hard to push something irreplaceable.
For verified owners of a historic car or motorcycle who compete, and for the people who prepare and crew them.
What happens here: eligibility and paperwork threads by series, period specification research with sources, safety fitment that passes scrutineering without ruining the car, braking and tyre setup for old machinery, spares networks and the people who remake parts, and event reports with times, conditions and what broke.
