Post Houston on the first Saturday, slabs and swangas, and track days at MSR Houston.
Houston Chapter covers the widest metro in the country. The first Saturday show at Post Houston downtown is the big one. Katy Cars and Coffee on the west side, Cypress on the second Saturday, Clear Lake on the third. MSR Houston at Angleton, about 35 miles south, for club racing and open track.
Slab is Houston's own and it is not lowriding. Slow, loud and bangin': a Cadillac, a Lincoln or a Buick on elbows, candy paint, a trunk that opens on a message, and a colour that says which neighbourhood you are from. It came out of the same clubs as the chopped and screwed tapes and it is still being built today. If you run one, this is your chapter too.
For any car or motorcycle owner in Houston. Open with approval, and an ownership photo so chapter runs are made of real vehicles.
What happens here: meet listings from Katy to Clear Lake, slab build threads with paint, wheel and audio sources, group entries at MSR Houston, humidity, corrosion and brake care, shop and upholstery referrals by side of town, and hurricane season storage planning.
