The two mountain roads worth the early start. Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain, briefed and unhurried.
Jebel Jais & Hafeet covers the two real mountain roads in the country. Jais climbs to around 1,900 metres above Ras Al Khaimah on wide new tarmac, long sweeping corners, and ten degrees cooler at the top than at the bottom. Hafeet is 11.7 km and 21 corners out of Al Ain, tighter, older and much harder on brakes on the way down. Both are patrolled and camera covered, both are better at six in the morning than at noon, and both are worth doing slowly.
Open to any owner or rider in the Emirates. An ownership photo so the group is made of real machines, and that is all.
What happens here: run announcements with meeting points and departure times, route cards, brake and tyre advice for long descents, cold-morning notes through the winter, photography stops, and introductions to the clubs people go on to join.
