The coastal road from Alibaug to Goa, one creek crossing at a time. Salt, ferries and no hurry.
Konkan Coast Riders runs the single best multi-day route in western India: the coastal road south from Alibaug through Murud, Harihareshwar, Ganpatipule, Ratnagiri, Malvan and Tarkarli to Goa, crossing creeks on ferries and threading through villages the highway skips. It is slow riding, not fast riding, and it demands respect for salt corrosion, sand on tarmac and the monsoon.
For any motorcycle owner based in or regularly riding through the Konkan coast. Open with approval; an ownership photo is required so ride-outs are made up of real machines. Full gear on every chapter ride.
What happens here: fortnightly breakfast rides with a lead and a sweep, the Alibaug and Murud coastal loop, the Ganpatipule and Ratnagiri stretch and the full Konkan run to Goa, local mechanic and tyre-fitter referrals, and hosting duties when other chapters ride through.
