Home chapter at 11,500 feet. The people who live where everyone else comes to ride and drive.
The Ladakh chapter is small, seasonal and disproportionately useful. It is made up of residents and long-stay members who know which passes are actually open, where fuel is real and where it is a rumour, which workshop in Leh can help, how the Khardung La and Chang La surfaces are this week, and what altitude does to a machine and its rider. It also hosts every visiting chapter and expedition that comes through between May and October.
For any car or motorcycle owner based in or regularly travelling through Ladakh. Cars and bikes share this chapter; some runs are mixed, some are split by machine, and both are announced here. Open with approval; an ownership photo is required so chapter runs are made up of real vehicles.
What happens here: fortnightly early-morning meets, chapter drives on Khardung La, Chang La, the Nubra and Pangong routes and the Hanle and Umling La run in season, local workshop and detailer referrals, a chapter group for live traffic and police check updates, and hosting duties when other chapters visit Leh.
