N20 / N55 Club is a maintenance-and-tuning club for F-generation BMWs: chain guide replacement, oil leak sequences, VANOS and charge pipe upgrades, Stage 1 and 2 maps and honest advice on what breaks next. These engines are old enough now that the failures are predictable, and the order they come in is worth knowing before the bill arrives.
For verified owners of any N20, N26 or N55-powered BMW: 328i, 528i, X1, X3, 335i, 535i, M235i.
What happens here: engine-platform deep dives (oil, coolant, carbon, turbo and gasket behaviour in heat), dyno days and tuner comparisons, club drives that mix badges around one engine, a parts cross-reference maintained by members, and shared long-term reliability logs.
