New York and New Jersey Chapter covers the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester and North Jersey. City Island in the Bronx runs Cars and Coffee every Sunday, year round, weather permitting, which almost nowhere else in the northeast does. Bergen County Cars and Caffe on the Jersey side. The Bear Mountain cruise on Wednesday nights through the summer.
The driving is not in the city and no local pretends otherwise. It starts at the George Washington Bridge: the Palisades Interstate Parkway up the Hudson cliffs, Seven Lakes Drive from Suffern to Bear Mountain, and 9W back down. Track days at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville and Lime Rock Park in Lakeville.
