Valparai's forty hairpins, the Ooty and Kotagiri climbs and Kari Motor Speedway down the road.
Nilgiris Riders has the best concentration of hill roads in south India: the Valparai climb with its forty numbered hairpins, the Ooty and Kotagiri routes, Coonoor and the Kunda road, Anaikatti into Kerala, and Kalhatti when it is open. Kari Motor Speedway is twenty minutes from the chapter's home city, so track days and hill rides share the same calendar and often the same riders.
For any motorcycle owner based in or regularly riding through the Nilgiris and the Kongu region. Open with approval; an ownership photo is required so ride-outs are made up of real machines. Full gear on every chapter ride.
What happens here: fortnightly breakfast rides with a lead and a sweep, the Valparai hairpin climb, the Kotagiri and Coonoor routes and a monthly Kari track day or Kerala border run, local mechanic and tyre-fitter referrals, and hosting duties when other chapters ride through.
