Arizona Car Week in January, Firebird in Chandler, and a summer when nobody drives at noon.
Phoenix Chapter covers Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa and Tucson. January is the month: Barrett-Jackson at WestWorld in Scottsdale, the Arizona Concours d'Elegance, RM Sotheby's and Bonhams, and cars and coffee that appears in a dozen car parks because half the collector market is in town at once.
Firebird Motorsports Park in Chandler, which people here still call Wild Horse Pass, has a quarter mile NHRA strip, an eighth mile, and two road courses. It is run by the Radford Racing School.
The season is backwards and it takes a newcomer a year to accept it. You drive from October to April. In July you start at five in the morning or you do not start. Dry air is why cars keep their paint and their floors here, and it is why people ship them in.
For any car or motorcycle owner in Phoenix and Scottsdale. Open with approval, and an ownership photo so chapter runs are made of real vehicles.
What happens here: meet listings across the valley, Arizona Car Week planning and auction viewing, group entries at Firebird, heat management threads on cooling, fluids, batteries and tyre age, storage and dust covers for the summer, and shop and paint correction referrals across Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson.
