Jebel Jais: 35 km of road, eight hairpins, and 10 degrees off the temperature at the top.
Ras Al Khaimah Chapter is built around one road and it does not apologise for that. Jebel Jais climbs to the highest point in the country at 1,934 m, on about 35 km of modern tarmac with eight hairpins and a long run of open sweepers between them. It is roughly 10 degrees cooler at the top than at the bottom, which in this country is a reason on its own.
At the summit there is Jais Flight, the longest zipline in the world at 2.83 km, and the Jais Sledder, an 1,840 m toboggan run. Both are worth an hour once you are up there.
The rest of the emirate is the plain: Al Hamra, the creek, the quarry roads, and a pace of life that is noticeably slower than Dubai's ninety minutes away. Plenty of members here live in Dubai and come up for the morning, and they are welcome.
For any car or motorcycle owner in Ras Al Khaimah. Open with approval, and an ownership photo so chapter runs are made of real machines.
What happens here: run announcements for the Jais climb with meeting points and departure times, brake and tyre advice for the descent, camera and enforcement notes on the mountain road, cold morning planning through the winter, photography stops, and meet listings across the emirate.
