Palomar's South Grade at sunrise, Ortega on the way north, and Bonita on a Saturday morning.
San Diego Chapter covers the county from the border to Camp Pendleton. Bonita Cars and Coffee every Saturday from six, the San Diego Automotive Museum in Balboa Park on the third Sunday with up to 200 cars, and La Mesa on the third Sunday as well.
South Grade Road up Palomar Mountain is the reason people here own the cars they own: 21 hairpins, good surface, and quiet if you are early. The Ortega Highway is the road north into Orange County. Both reward a slow first lap and punish a fast one.
For any car or motorcycle owner in San Diego. Open with approval, and an ownership photo so chapter runs are made of real vehicles.
What happens here: meet listings across the county, route cards for Palomar and Ortega, surface and closure updates for both, group entries at Chuckwalla and Willow Springs, shop, alignment and detailing referrals, and border run advice for anyone taking a car into Baja.
