Cherrapunji in the cloud, Dawki's clear water and roads that are better than they have any right to be.
Meghalaya has some of the finest surfaced hill roads in India and a rally culture that predates most of the country's. The Shillong chapter runs the Cherrapunji and Mawsynram routes, the Dawki and Shnongpdeng road, the Mawlynnong loop and the Guwahati highway. Rain is measured in metres here, so wet-weather technique, tyre condition and visibility discipline are not optional topics.
For any car or motorcycle owner based in or regularly travelling through Shillong, Meghalaya and the eastern hills. Cars and bikes share this chapter; some runs are mixed, some are split by machine, and both are announced here. Open with approval; an ownership photo is required so chapter runs are made up of real vehicles.
What happens here: fortnightly early-morning meets, chapter drives on the Cherrapunji and Mawsynram routes, the Dawki road and the Mawlynnong loop, local workshop and detailer referrals, a chapter group for live traffic and police check updates, and hosting duties when other chapters visit Shillong.
