Brainerd in August, Highway 61 up the North Shore, and six months of planning for five of driving.
Twin Cities Chapter covers Minneapolis, St. Paul and the river valleys. Brainerd International Raceway is two hours north: a road course and one of the longest drag strips in the country, and the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals run there in August.
The drive is Highway 61 up the North Shore of Lake Superior, past Duluth and on towards the Canadian border, and the St. Croix river roads when you only have a morning.
Minnesota requires no safety inspection and no emissions test, which is a freedom people here appreciate and then spend on rust repair, because the salt gets everything eventually. The season is roughly May to October. The other six months are the planning.
For any car or motorcycle owner in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Open with approval, and an ownership photo so chapter runs are made of real vehicles.
What happens here: meet listings across both cities and the suburbs, group entries and spectating at Brainerd, route cards for the North Shore and the St. Croix valley, winter storage listings and undercarriage protection threads, rust repair and body shop referrals, and the build planning that a five month season forces on everybody.
