S tronic holds a beat before moving off, 2024 A4 40 TFSI Technology
2024 A4 40 TFSI Technology, 9,400 km, almost all of it Gurgaon to Delhi traffic.
Pulling out of a parking slot, or moving off on any kind of incline, there is a clear pause between throttle and the car actually going anywhere. About a second. Once it is rolling it is smooth and the rest of the drive is faultless. Cold mornings are noticeably worse. Comfort and Dynamic make no difference to it.
Service centre found no stored codes and told me this is normal dual clutch behaviour. I have driven enough of these to accept some delay, but this feels longer than what I remember from the B8.
What I would like to hear from other B9 owners
- Does yours do the same, and roughly how long is your pause
- Did a gearbox software update change anything for you
- Is anyone running a shorter gearbox oil interval than the book asks for
I am not looking to modify anything. I only want to know whether this is the car or whether mine needs looking at.
